Gretchen Scardino
Gretchen Scardino, Manager
Gretchen began her career at one of the oldest and largest firms in Texas, where she represented individuals and business entities from a diverse range of industries, including technology, health care, banking, pharmaceuticals, and aviation, in civil trial and appellate matters in state and federal courts. Her practice also included the representation of clients in civil litigation involving parallel criminal proceedings. Concurrent with her practice, Gretchen served as an adjunct professor at The University of Texas School of Law, teaching Brief Writing and Oral Advocacy to first-year law students. She has argued before the Fifth Circuit in a criminal fraud case involving jury charge error.
In 2014, Gretchen shifted her focus to public interest work, concentrating her practice on the post-conviction representation of Texas death-sentenced prisoners in federal and state habeas corpus and DNA testing proceedings.
Gretchen speaks Spanish.
